This shoot perfectly embodies what I love most about elopement photography: the intimacy, the intentionality, and the pure focus on what marriage is really about – two people, their love, and the commitment they’re making to each other. Taylor and Evan chose to say “I do” in one of the most serene, secluded spots I’ve ever had the privilege of photographing, and the day unfolded like a dream.

The Vision

The Experience

Some days, it feels like the universe conspires to create perfection – and this was one of those days. The temperature was ideal, the sky was that brilliant blue you dream about, dotted with clouds that looked like they’d been pulled straight from a Pixar movie. We made our way to this secluded area with expansive valley views that quite literally took your breath away.

As Taylor and Evan exchanged vows standing on a large rock overlooking the valley, with trees in full effect providing the perfect natural shade, I couldn’t help but notice the serendipitous details surrounding them. Someone had etched “Marry Me” into the rock they stood on – not placed there by the couple, but perfectly aligned with the moment happening. A metal heart hammered into a nearby tree seemed to whisper that love was woven into this very spot. It was as if the location itself was celebrating right along with us.

The intimate gathering of family witnesses added to the sacredness of it all. This wasn’t a production or a performance – it was Taylor and Evan, the people who love them most, and a commitment being made in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
