When a simple cup of coffee becomes a creative revelation, and you realize that the world of product photography has been waiting for you all along.
It started at a coffee shop. Camera in hand, surrounded by the kind of quiet warmth that only a good café can create, I found myself completely captivated by the way light landed on a cup, a bag of beans, a perfectly placed detail – and I thought: this is a story too. That moment cracked something open in me, and I haven’t looked back since.
Product photography has become one of the most exciting new chapters at Folks Photography, and I am so genuinely thrilled to share it with you.
To create images that don’t just show a product – but tell its story. Every brand has a heartbeat, a personality, a reason for existing. My job is to find that and put it in a frame. The result? Photos that do the hard work of communicating who a brand is before a single word is ever read.
What I love most about this work is how deeply it connects to what I’ve always believed: it’s in the little things. A perfume bottle catching afternoon light. The curve of a beautiful purse against a textured surface. Florals arranged just so, telling a story of care and intention. Branding pieces that say this is who we are in the quietest, most beautiful way.
I’ve had the joy of capturing perfumes, purses, florals, coffee products, and all kinds of branding pieces – and every single session has taught me something new about how much a product can communicate when it’s photographed with intention.
One of my favorite collaborations so far has been working with Here Comes The Guide on a branded shoot for their incredible work. Getting to be a small piece of someone else’s bigger story – contributing images to a brand that already means so much to so many people – is genuinely one of the most honoring things I’ve gotten to do with a camera in my hands.
That’s what keeps pulling me back to this work: the reminder that these photos don’t exist in isolation. They expand upon a larger story. They live on websites, in campaigns, in the hands of people who built something from scratch and need the world to see it clearly. Being trusted with that? It means everything.
A growing portfolio of product and branding work that I am so proud of – and so excited to keep building. These sessions have reminded me that storytelling doesn’t only happen at weddings or on family portrait days. It happens every time a brand puts something beautiful into the world and needs someone to capture it honestly and artfully.
If you’re a business owner, an entrepreneur, or a brand with a story to tell – I would love to be the person behind the lens for you. This work lights me up in the best way, and I truly believe that the right images can change everything for a brand.
Because at the end of the day, every product has a story. Let’s make sure the world can see it.
